Who we are

hardstoc is run by DENIMHEAD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the controller of any personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

hardstoc has no accounts, no newsletter and no contact forms, so we never ask for your name, email address or payment details. Purchases happen on the shops' own websites, not here.

Your country and currency. On your first visit our hosting provider tells us which country your connection comes from. We use it to show prices in your currency and shops that ship to you first, and keep it in a cookie called "market" on your device for a year. You can change it at any time with the "Ship to" menu. It is not used for anything else.

The department you are browsing (men or women), kept in your browser for the current visit only, so a product listed in both shows the one you came from. It never leaves your device.

Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider, Vercel, records technical details of each request (your IP address, browser and the page asked for) to run the service and keep it secure. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to identify you.

Error reports. When a page fails, a report goes to Sentry (stored in the EU) so we can fix it. Reports carry technical details of the page and browser, not your name, email address or IP address.

Cookies

We set one cookie, "market", described above, which remembers your country and currency. We use no analytics, advertising or social media cookies.

When you choose "Buy Now", you leave us for the shop through an affiliate link run by Kutoku or Awin. They and the shop may set their own cookies to record that the sale came from us. Their use of your data is covered by their own privacy policies: kutoku.com and awin.com.

Why we use it

We rely on our legitimate interest in running a fast, secure price comparison service that shows you prices you can use. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error reports) and Supabase (our product database, which holds no personal data about you). Some of them process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this notice when hardstoc changes, for example when accounts or price alerts arrive. The date at the top says when it last changed.
