This piece stands out as one of 3sixteen's finest flannels to date, distinguished by its exclusive custom-woven flannel fabric. Crafted from the ground up, this fabric incorporates robust slub yarns, yielding an extraordinary texture while retaining a lightweight, breathable quality suitable for warmer months. The check pattern takes inspiration from Arshile Gorky's 1947 oil canvas abstract painting, infusing the design with artistic flair. Gorky's profound contributions to the evolution of American abstract expressionism further enrich the piece's significance.
The Crosscut holds a pivotal role in 3sixteen's history. Leveraging recent advancements in production capabilities, the brand is thrilled to broaden the Crosscut collection by introducing remarkable new fabrics like the Mauve Slub Check. This fabric, exclusively woven for 3sixteen, raises the bar and surpasses all previous standards. Its substantial weave is meticulously hand-brushed on both sides, culminating in a distinctive textured surface.
Among its standout features, this exquisite garment boasts a crossed back yoke and enamel-coated metal buttons that develop a rich patina and subtle chipping effect over time.
The cut features a slight slim fit and stays true to standard sizing. If you usually wear a size M in 3sixteen shirts or other American brands, you'll find a suitable fit with this shirt in size M. However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never 'old.'
