Buy NowA classic American shape in an exceptional weatherproof fabric.
The barn coat is a staple of American outerwear, valued for its straightforward construction, practical proportions, and ability to move easily between work and everyday wear. We wanted to take that familiar shape and make it in a fabric with a long history of protecting against the elements.
The Waxed Barn Coat is made from 100% cotton waxed canvas by Halley Stevensons of the UK. Waxed cotton is a durable, adaptable alternative to synthetic weatherproof fabrics, creating protection from the elements while retaining the character of natural cotton. This dry-wax canvas has a soft hand and a subtle finish, while its tightly woven construction gives it the resilience needed for regular wear.
A corduroy collar, four-button front, and set-in sleeves reinforce the classic character of the coat, while a full lining gives it a little more warmth and weight. It's complete with our signature exterior pockets and an internal stow pocket on each side. This is the kind of piece designed to build a relationship with everyday life.
The Waxed Barn Coat is proudly made in New Jersey at Better Team USA, our factory partner for the better part of a decade, who has helped to define our approach to premium American outerwear.
