AVI-8’s P-51 Mustang 85th Anniversary collection pays tribute to one of the most storied fighters ever engineered, delivering bold, cockpit-inspired design across two limited-edition variants. Both watches channel the rugged charm and functional aesthetic of WWII instrumentation, blending layered dials, aviation cues, and strong wrist presence into everyday-ready tool watches made for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Slipstream Silver Chronograph and Steel Ascent Automatic share a wearable 42mm stainless-steel case, a mineral crystal, 5ATM water resistance, and textured quick-release leather straps, but each model expresses the Mustang story differently. The Chronograph features a multi-register layout with turbine-inspired detailing, while the Automatic leans toward mechanical warmth with an open-heart display and sculpted indices.
Inside, the Slipstream Silver runs on a Japanese quartz chronograph movement offering reliable timing and date functionality, while the Steel Ascent uses a Japanese automatic movement showcased through both its open-heart aperture and an exhibition caseback featuring a propeller-inspired rotor.
Individually numbered, both editions celebrate 85 years of Mustang innovation with aviation-themed artistry and everyday functionality.
