Buy NowEvery morning, yesterday's page is ripped off, crumpled up, and a fresh one reveals the day ahead. This is the 'himekuri' way. The daily tear-off calendar has been a fixture of Japanese homes and workshops for well over a century. Ours is printed in Japan in the traditional manner, carrying the old lunisolar date, the luck of the day, and a fortune, exactly as it would for any kitchen in Osaka or Kyoto.
No Japanese required: we've included a reference card that decodes every mark on the page, and we've added space for notes. The calendar is graphic and colorful, big enough to read from across a room, emblazoned with our 'Stay Sharp' motto. The paper is almost as thin as tracing paper, so tomorrow shows faintly through, and the color-coding tells you whether it's a holiday, a Saturday, or a weekday.
Hangs securely on a nail or hook with a handsome striped cord (included). 365 sheets, 8 x 10. 5 inches, printed in Japan in 3 colors.
