Buy NowInspired by 1970s work jackets, this chore coat blends vintage utility with Japanese textile artistry. Designed for effortless functionality, its front and interior pockets are strategically sized and placed for daily ease. The fabric is a masterpiece: kasezome-dyed indigo sashiko, woven to feel as light as shirting yet rich with character.
Each skein of thread varies in hue, creating vertical streaks of uneven color that evolve beautifully over time. The red power-loom selvage and fluffy, soft hand add to its tactile charm. Fits true to size. 100% cotton (main fabric) Patch fabrics: 100% linen + 65% cotton, 25% rayon, 10% linen Kasezome indigo dyeing for deep, fade-prone vertical striations Original lightweight sashiko weave with red selvage detailing Functional front and interior pockets for utility Evolving patina: Base indigo and patch fabrics age uniquely with wear Embroidery: 100% cotton thread Made in Japan
