Buy NowDesigned to address the shortcomings of its predecessor, the M-41, the M-43 uniform was issued to US soldiers in the latter half of WW2 and was standard issue until its replacement by the OG-107 in the early 50s. Buzz Rickson's, masters of historical reproduction, have faithfully recreated this piece of U.S. military history.
The M-41 Field jacket were found to provide insufficient coverage against the cold and the rain, so the M-43 fixed these concerns through silhouette and fabric adjustments. The M-43 is cut from a tightly woven, heavy duty cotton sateen, is roomier to accommodate layering, and features a drawstring at the waist. It sports four large pockets on the front, and a detachable, button-in hood.
