These are inherent traits of the natural material and its finishing. CARE Aspen is a dense, firm horse leather from Horween.
Its tight fiber structure makes it naturally durable and resistant to moisture. Cleaning: Wipe down with a damp cloth after wear. For heavier dirt, use a horsehair brush. Air dry only – never use direct heat. Conditioning: Apply a leather cream when the leather looks dry or feels stiff.
Aspen's dense fiber structure means it needs less conditioning than softer leathers, but shouldn't be neglected entirely. Scratches: Light surface marks can often be buffed out with a horsehair brush. Storage: Use shoe trees between wears to help the leather hold its shape.
