These are inherent traits of the natural material and its finishing. CARE Rambler is a waxed and oiled flesh-side leather. The natural waxes in the hide shift with wear, giving each pair a unique burnished finish over time. Cleaning: Brush off dirt with a horsehair or stiff-bristle brush.
For heavier buildup, a damp cloth works well. Air dry only – never use direct heat. Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner or neutral wax when the leather looks dry. The natural waxes mean conditioning is needed less often than with drier leathers. Scratches: Light marks will often blend back in with a horsehair brush or gentle finger pressure – this is normal pull-up behavior. Storage: Use shoe trees between wears to retain shape.
