Buy NowThis feature focuses on vintage military style. In the world of fashion, many of the items we wear without a second thought actually have their origins in military design. Military pieces from roughly the 1940s through to the 1970s are not only highly valued as vintage items and traded at premium prices; they also played a key role in shaping modern clothing.
During this period, innovations such as the zip fastener and nylon fabric became widely adopted, largely due to military use. Familiar garments like chinos and cargo trousers also stem from military roots, going on to influence countless later designs. In this issue, we explore these origins in depth, alongside an overview of current market prices.
We also present vintage watches, modern faithful reproductions, and styling ideas for on-trend military-inspired trousers.
