Bergan in 1908 they got their name Bergan's backpack more popularly known as the Norwegian backpack. Originally made from leather the Bergans pack was later made from canvas. The design was later used by the British Army in 1940 popularly known as the 'British Army Bergen Rucksack' Materials: ~20 oz Hard Waxed Canvas – Exceptional durability with natural water and weather resistance.
