The Dehen x Merz b. Schwanen Flight Jacket unites two brands with origin stories uncannily alike: both family-run, both over a century old, both committed to craft that values heritage over trend. And both refusing, quietly but firmly, to compromise. The jet-black jacket speaks to those who see the detail: tonal chain-stitch embroidery, water-repellent waxed cotton shell milled in Scotland by Halley Stevensons, the quiet flash of Japanese deadstock viscose lining in blue.
The shell is 12oz Waxed Cotton Herringbone with a dry wax finish, milled in Scotland by Halley Stevensons. Durable, water-repellent and built to patina with wear. Inside, a lining of 100% Japanese Rayon in blue, glimpsed by those with an eye for fine details. The knitted trim is 100% Worsted Wool, made in-house by Dehen in Portland.
A vintage-inspired raglan sleeve construction. A black two-way aluminium zipper. Two narrow double-welt pockets on the sides, one inside. 2x2 knitted cuffs. And on the inside of the zipper facing, tonal chain-stitch embroidery - 'Dehen & Merz b. Schwanen'. A special collaborative neck label completes the story.
