Buy NowThe Homestead Grays wore these simple, but classic wool ball caps in the mid-1940s when most of their games were scheduled in Washington’s Griffith Stadium. Homestead greats like Josh Gibson and slugger Buck Leonard powered the Grays to win nine consecutive NNL Championships and three Negro League World Series titles, proving there must be some magic in this ol’ hat.
This ball cap from Ebbets Field is a replication of the hat worn during the Gray’s 1945 season. Each hat is hand-stitched in small batches from vintage-inspired flannel wool (just like the hats of yesteryear) and made to last. Detailed with the original felt Grays logo and finished with an adjustable genuine leather strap for a comfortable fit.
