FREENOTE CLOTH RJ-2 Waxed Canvas 20oz Shearling Jacket Olive

About this product

The Freenote Cloth RJ-2 is a no-compromise winter jacket built for extreme cold, long-term wear, and timeless style. Designed as the brand’s ultimate cold-weather outerwear piece, the RJ-2 combines rugged American materials, thoughtful engineering, and exceptional comfort in a silhouette meant to last a lifetime.

At its core, the jacket features a luxurious genuine shearling lining, carefully selected for superior insulation and natural temperature regulation. This plush interior delivers outstanding warmth without relying on synthetic fillers, creating a jacket that feels as protective as it is comfortable.

The exterior is constructed from 20oz Martexin waxed canvas, made in the USA and known for its durability, weather resistance, and rich character. Over time, the waxed canvas will develop creases, marks, and patina unique to the wearer, reinforcing the jacket’s utilitarian beauty and lived-in appeal.

Freenote’s attention to detail extends throughout the construction. The jacket is equipped with heavy-duty reproduction zippers sourced from Universal Zippers Japan, chosen for their strength, smooth operation, and vintage authenticity. Every component is selected to withstand decades of use.

Despite its substantial weight, the RJ-2 is engineered for exceptional mobility. Bi-swing gussets at the arm openings, paired with Freenote’s signature action back design, allow for unrestricted movement through the shoulders and arms. Hidden elastic bands beneath the shearling lining keep the gussets perfectly positioned, maintaining structure while maximizing comfort.

The result is a jacket that feels remarkably wearable for its weight – protective without being restrictive, rugged without sacrificing refinement. Whether worn in harsh winter conditions or as a statement outer layer, the RJ-2 delivers durability, warmth, and enduring style in equal measure.
