Buy NowOur first automatic. Produced by ProTech. Some knives earn their name through function. Others earn it through lineage. The Elmer carries both. The story starts long before the first prototype. Before the aluminum was milled, before the button was set, before ProTech brought its precision to the build.
It begins with a man named Elmer, whose quiet strength shaped the people who shaped this knife. He served as an artillery gunner in the 36th Texas Infantry Division during the Second World War, surviving five major invasions across Europe and North Africa. He pushed through the desert while chasing Rommel, through the mud at Monte Cassino, and through the rubble on the road to Berlin.
He returned home with no medals asked for and no stories embellished. He simply carried on, the way so many of his generation did. Pictured: Elmer sitting on the cab of a truck driving in Grenoble, France. The ACE Elmer is built in the spirit of that resolve. It takes the clean attitude of the Clyde, scales it with purpose, and channels the capability of the GMX into an automatic that feels ready the moment you touch it.
Our partnership with ProTech brings this design to life with crisp geometry, fast action, and American craftsmanship you can feel in every lock, line, and contour. This edition adds a cool, confident presence that suits the knife’s character, offering a finish that feels deliberate rather than decorative.
Pictured: Elmer (far right) and his comrades posing with a Browning M1919A4 . 30-caliber medium machine gun. This is not a knife that announces itself. It doesn't need to. It is made for the person who acts with purpose and shows up when it counts. The ACE Elmer carries a legacy through readiness, built on the belief that a tool should be worthy of the moments it meets.
Some knives tell a story. This one remembers the man behind it. Numbered out of 150 units. NOTICE: Please be aware that this is an automatic (switchblade) knife. It is your responsibility to know and comply…
