GRAPH ZERO Officer Indigo Plaid Long Sleeve Shirt

About this product

The Graph Zero Officer Indigo Plaid Long Sleeve Shirt blends classic military workwear inspiration with the brand’s distinctive approach to Japanese fabric development. Cut from a custom indigo-dyed jacquard cotton, this shirt showcases a richly textured plaid created through alternating plain and twill weaves, producing a subtle checkerboard depth that shifts under light and wear.

Unlike printed patterns, the plaid is woven directly into the fabric using rope-dyed indigo yarns, allowing the shirt to fade naturally over time. As the indigo breaks in with washing and daily use, the different weave structures age at varying rates, creating an uneven, high-contrast patina full of character rather than flat, uniform fading. The result is a piece that evolves much like raw denim.

Built on a traditional officer/work shirt silhouette, the design remains functional and durable. Two large flap chest pockets provide utility and balance, while sturdy metal buttons add weight and long-term resilience. Subtle construction details like chain stitch run-offs at the gussets reflect Graph Zero’s heritage-minded craftsmanship and commitment to longevity.

With its regular fit and versatile structure, this is an everyday indigo shirt that pairs easily with denim or work trousers while developing a uniquely personal fade with each wear. Made entirely in Japan, it embodies Graph Zero’s focus on fabric innovation, durability, and timeless workwear style.

Fit Notes: Despite being a Japanese shirt, we find that new Graph Zero shirts run closer to Western measurements than typical Japanese brands. If you usually wear a size M in American shirts, a size M in this shirt should fit well. However, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart to ensure the perfect fit.
