For a lot of people, when they think of Hamilton, this is the watch that comes to mind. Simple, understated, rugged - it’s a true field watch born from Hamilton’s history of making watches for the military, yet slightly modernized for today’s needs. A staple of their catalog, this simple, everyday watch recently got upgraded with an 80-hr movement, making it all the more versatile.
Featuring a thin, 38mm matte steel case, the Khaki Field Mechanical Date is the kind of watch you’ll forget you are wearing, which is a good thing. It tells the time, it doesn’t weigh you down. The dial is a spin on the iconic MIL-W-3818B spec, so it’s clear and easy to read, and also features a date three.
If you're looking for a daily-wear that is easy to wear and has some classic style, like a pair of well-worn jeans, this is it. Powering the Khaki Field Mechanical is the H-50 Swiss-made caliber. This hand-wound movement features 17 jewels, hacking seconds, date, a frequency of 21,600 bph, and most notably, a power reserve of 80 hours.
The ideal movement for this watch, it combines the nostalgia of a hand-wound movement with an extended power reserve for modern convenience.
