The Hamilton Khaki Field Murph Auto Bundle is a comprehensive special set that pairs the iconic 42mm 'Murph' watch with both a black leather strap and a stainless steel bracelet. Originally designed for the 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar, this timepiece has transitioned from a cinematic prop to a flagship of the Khaki Field collection.
The bundle is presented in a specialty box and includes a watch-changing tool, allowing for effortless transitions between a rugged field aesthetic and a more sophisticated, elegant look. The watch features a 42mm brushed stainless steel case that houses a matte black dial with vintage-toned cathedral hands and bold Arabic numerals.
A hidden tribute to its movie heritage is found on the seconds hand, which features the word 'Eureka' printed in Morse code. For maximum durability and clarity, the dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the case is rated for 100 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear and outdoor adventure.
Internally, the timepiece is powered by the H-10 automatic movement, a Swiss-made caliber known for its reliability and impressive 80-hour power reserve. This movement features a Nivachron balance spring, which provides superior resistance to magnetic fields and improves timekeeping accuracy in modern environments.
The intricate inner workings, including the custom rotor, are visible through a see-through exhibition case back, highlighting Hamilton's dedication to precision engineering.
