Crafted with precision in our New Jersey workshop, the New Deck Jacket is unapologetically bulky by design, engineered with a clear purpose in mind. This is not just a coat. It is a shield against the harshest conditions, built for those who need serious warmth when standing still in extreme cold.
Weighing in at 8 lbs for a medium, its heft is deliberate, offering full protection with even weight distribution for comfort over long wear. Made from heavy duty 24 oz waxed canvas, it is built to endure. Lined with genuine mouton sheepskin in the torso, pockets, and collar, and insulated with quilted wool batting in the sleeves, this jacket redefines what warmth means – without a single synthetic fiber.
Finished with wool storm cuffs, a storm flap, and solid brass hardware sourced from Connecticut. Every stitch is reinforced with triple stitched seams and bonded nylon thread for maximum durability. Back gussets ensure freedom of movement despite the bulk. New this year are larger hand warmer pockets and a throat latch, the result of listening closely to feedback on the previous version.
Subtle improvements that make a meaningful difference in comfort, function, and protection where it matters most. This coat is not for everyone. It is for those who demand more from their outerwear. If you are looking for lightweight or trendy, this is not it. But if you want the last cold weather jacket you will ever need, you have found it.
