This added structure dramatically increases durability in the places that see the most abuse while also improving wind and weather resistance where it matters most. The body and sleeves are insulated with heavyweight wool batting and fully lined in smooth worsted wool, a deliberate choice over synthetic fills and down.
Wool continues to insulate even when wet, unlike down which collapses and loses its ability to retain heat once moisture is introduced. Snow, rain, sweat, and condensation are unavoidable in real use, and wool is uniquely suited to handle all of it. Integrated wool storm cuffs help seal out cold air and wind, creating a natural thermal barrier at the wrists without added bulk.
Wool fibers naturally regulate temperature by absorbing and releasing moisture vapor, keeping you warm without overheating.
