A mix between our U Boat and Crew Neck jumpers, the Signal Sweaters are knitted in Germany from a full kilogram of wool, making it more than a little bit substantial, and perfect for the depths of winter. The heavy 5-gauge knit retains heat well, but also gives the jumper a rich texture that is unmistakable Heimat. The natural oils in the yarn mean it has self-cleaning and water-resistant properties.
Inspired by team outfits of sailing teams and pitstop crews. Often sailors wear hats and sweaters matching the team colors of their boats. A part of motor racing is to be visible to the crowds and for safety. Bold warning colors and striped helmets are essential.
Elsewhere, all the usual details are in place signature knitted stripes on the cuffs and hem, handsewn collar and sleeves, and a classic shape based on vintage pieces we have found on our travels.
