Buy NowInspired by classic workwear, The Brace is built with durability at its core and comfort in its DNA. Reinforced with triple stitching at the shoulders, back, and side seams, and finished with bar-tacked utility pockets, it's designed to handle whatever the day brings. A discreet pen slot adds a subtle nod to function without sacrificing form.
Tough where it counts, comfortable where it matters – this is Kato workwear, refined. The chainstitch runoff on the side gussets is a subtle but meaningful detail – a nod to the heritage of vintage workwear. In the early days, shirts were sewn with heavy-duty machines that left these trailing threads at the hem.
While most were trimmed in production, some made it out into the world untouched. Over time, those rare pieces became prized by collectors, not just for their scarcity, but as proof of craftsmanship. At Kato, we honor that tradition. Our work shirts are made with the same authenticity, and the runoff remains as a quiet testament to the process.
Wear it proudly or trim it clean – either way, the integrity stays. The subtle and more laid-back member of the plaid family. Soft gradient edges give it an easy, go-with-the-flow vibe – for quiet days and open-ended plans. Dyed with pure indigo, it will fade over time like your favorite pair of jeans, developing a character that’s entirely your own. A shirt for those who prefer to move under the radar, but always forward.
