Buy NowKato’s respect for denim is rooted in decades of exploration and craftsmanship. Drawing from years of research and hands-on experience, we’ve recreated the distinct character of the most coveted denim from the 1950s to 1970s. Each fabric is crafted with precision to mirror the uniform texture and authentic fade patterns found in the vintage pieces preserved in the Kato archives – an homage to denim’s golden era, reimagined for today.
The Monster Slub is our slubbiest denim yet. This hefty 17oz denim boasts all the durability and texture you could ever want from a Japanese selvedge denim. This 100% cotton fabric is rinsed for easy break-in and a soft hand from day one. As this denim fades, the texture will create a stunning depth and dimension to the indigo. 100% Cotton
