The Jackman Big Loop Crewneck is a standout piece of Japanese craftsmanship, blending traditional loopwheel construction with a uniquely rugged, premium texture. The exterior uses organic cotton air-spun yarn, while the fleece interior is knitted on an old-fashioned loopwheel knitting machine, resulting in a fabric engineered with carefully adjusted density and loop size – creating a finish reminiscent of a high-quality, hand-woven rug.
Designed for comfort and mobility, the Big Loop Crewneck features freedom sleeves, a curved 1940s–1950s athletic silhouette that allows natural movement from shoulder to arm, along with dual V-gussets for enhanced flexibility. The body offers a relaxed fit through the chest with rounded shoulders and a subtle taper toward the hem, creating a clean yet casual shape.
Durable construction is a hallmark of the piece: coverstitching boosts overall strength, while flat seams are placed strategically to ensure long-lasting comfort. Combining the plush softness of loopwheel knitting with remarkable durability, this is a sweatshirt built to be worn for years while maintaining its character and structure.
Fit Notes: This sweatshirt fits more true to size than other tops from the brand and compared to many Japanese labels. We find the true-to-size fit to be accurate, but if you prefer a more relaxed silhouette, consider sizing up. As always, we recommend consulting our size chart to ensure the perfect fit.
