Buy NowKluane Mountaineering, based in Edmonton, Alberta, have been producing down-filled jackets, vests and sleeping bags since 1971. A highly regarded but relatively little-known name in the world of down clothing, Kluane have built a dedicated following through the quality and practicality of their products.
Pronounced ‘Clu-Aw-Nee’, the company has stayed true to its original approach, producing hard-wearing outdoor clothing without unnecessary complication. The interior is generously filled with premium 900 fill power Canadian white goose down, providing an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio while remaining lightweight and highly compressible.
The high-density rip-stop nylon shell is built for serious use, with hot-cut panel construction sealing the fabric edges to improve durability and help prevent down from migrating through the garment over time. The combination of lightweight rip-stop nylon and high-loft Canadian goose down makes for a remarkably warm jacket without unnecessary bulk.
Double front snap closures allow the fit to be adjusted, giving the jacket a closer or more relaxed fit depending on how it is worn.
