Buy NowThe Kobashi Studio Capsule Large is a refined example of Japanese utility design – where minimal form meets enduring material integrity. Produced in Japan in small batches, this compact object reflects the brand's focus on precision, craftsmanship, and functional simplicity.
The capsule is crafted from 100% solid brass, manufactured by a second-generation, family-operated hardware workshop in Tokyo. This collaboration ensures careful machining, balanced weight, and a precisely threaded closure that securely protects whatever is stored inside. Over time, the untreated brass naturally develops a rich patina – gradually deepening in tone and creating a unique surface character shaped by everyday use.
Designed for practical everyday carry, the Capsule Large can store small essentials such as medication, matches, or other personal items, keeping them safe within its durable brass shell. Its cylindrical design is both compact and robust – easy to carry, with a reassuring sense of solidity in the hand.
A small brass key ring is included, allowing the capsule to attach easily to keys, bags, or belt loops. Whether used daily or simply carried as a functional accessory, it adds a subtle touch of craftsmanship to everyday routines.
Minimal yet expressive, the Capsule embodies Kobashi Studio's philosophy of functional permanence – objects designed not only to serve a purpose, but to age beautifully alongside their owner.
