Buy NowThe Kobashi Studio Key Chain Oval is a beautifully crafted everyday accessory that blends practical utility with traditional Japanese metal craftsmanship. Designed for both function and character, it offers a refined way to carry keys while showcasing the heritage techniques that define Kobashi Studio.
The piece features a sand-cast key hook paired with a vintage-style oval chain and a double key ring. The hook is engraved with 'Kobashi' in Japanese characters, reinforcing the piece’s identity and connection to the brand’s artisanal roots.
The oval chain is produced using an old chain-making machine more than 50 years old, operated by a master craftsman who continues to use traditional techniques rarely seen in modern hardware production. The rings and double rings are manufactured by a historic Japanese hardware supplier founded in the early 1900s, ensuring exceptional quality and durability.
The hook is slightly angled, allowing the chain to sit naturally along the body when attached to belt loops or bags. Crafted from 100% solid brass, the piece will gradually develop a rich natural patina, enhancing its character with use over time.
Each piece is packaged in a wax paper envelope, reflecting the brand’s understated utilitarian aesthetic.
