Buy NowThe Kobashi Studio Kikumon 'Sukashi' Charm Medium is an elegant accessory designed to pair perfectly with the Kobashi Studio Classic Silver Chain Necklace 3.1mm or 2.3mm. The charm showcases the traditional Japanese 16-petal chrysanthemum (kikumon) motif – a centuries-old symbol of longevity and renewal in Japanese culture – rendered through the 'Sukashi' openwork technique, a refined Japanese craft method that creates intricate cut-out patterns for a dimensional, sculptural effect.
Measuring 16mm in width, this medium charm is crafted from solid brass, with a small 925 silver ring for the chain attachment. The combination of warm brass and refined silver creates a quiet, layered character that pairs beautifully with any of Kobashi Studio's necklaces.
The master mold was meticulously created by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, finished with a vintage-like character that embraces the beauty of handmade craftsmanship – including subtle file marks and natural distortions that give each charm its own quiet identity.
The charm is cast by a family-operated metal crafts workshop in Tokyo, ensuring exceptional quality and authenticity. The backside is engraved with 'Kobashi' in Japanese characters, further enhancing its connection to its origins. The solid brass will develop a rich patina over time, deepening its vintage character with daily wear.
Presented in a luxurious Japanese pig suede pouch.
