Buy NowThe Kobashi Studio Sand Casted Key Hook with Flat Ring is a refined everyday accessory that blends practical functionality with traditional Japanese metal craftsmanship. Designed for organizing keys, charms, or small tools, it offers a simple yet distinctive solution for everyday carry.
Crafted from 100% solid brass, the hook is produced using traditional sand-casting techniques, giving the surface a subtle texture and natural irregularity that reflects its handmade origin. This process creates a rich, warm tone that gradually develops a deep patina with use, allowing each piece to evolve uniquely over time.
The design combines a sand-casted key hook with an oval ring and flat double ring, creating a versatile attachment system that securely holds keys or accessories while maintaining a clean and balanced form. The hook itself is carefully angled so that it sits comfortably against the body when carried on a belt loop or bag.
The rings and flat double ring are manufactured by a historic hardware supplier founded in the early 1900s, ensuring durability and mechanical precision. The master mold for the hook was created by Junichi Kobashi, and each piece retains subtle handmade characteristics such as delicate file marks and natural variations that highlight its artisanal production.
On the reverse side, the piece is engraved with 'Kobashi' in Japanese characters, reinforcing its identity and origin. It is delivered in a wax paper envelope, reflecting the brand’s understated approach to packaging while protecting the brass during storage.
Minimal yet highly functional, the Sand Casted Key Hook with Flat Ring is designed to become a dependable everyday companion – an object that gains character with use while keeping essentials organized.
