Buy NowThe Kobashi Studio 'Yatsu-Giku' Shippo Charm is a refined example of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, combining historic symbolism with precise artisanal metalwork. Designed to pair perfectly with the Kobashi Studio Classic Silver Chain Necklace 3.1mm or 2.3mm, it adds a distinctive and meaningful detail to any necklace setup.
The design features the Yatsu-giku – a rare eight-petal chrysanthemum crest created using the traditional Japanese 'Sukashi' openwork technique. Yatsu-giku literally means 'eight-petal chrysanthemum' in Japanese – and the chrysanthemum has long been associated with longevity, renewal, and refinement in Japanese culture.
Measuring approximately 20mm in diameter, the charm is crafted from solid sterling 925 silver. The master mold was designed by Kobashi Studio founder Junichi Kobashi, and the surface is finished with a vintage-inspired handmade texture that embraces subtle file marks and natural variations – details that highlight the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.

The color 'Kuro' (black) represents a deep, traditional Japanese black tone – admired in Japanese aesthetics for its purity, balance, and quiet strength. The contrast between the dark enamel center and the silver openwork creates a striking yet understated visual presence.
Shippō-yaki is a historic Japanese craft with more than 400 years of history. This charm respectfully preserves the…
