Inspired by the rise of the American 'Dude Ranch' culture that began in the 1930s and flourished in the 1950s, the Lot. 261 Maverick reflects a period when Western wear evolved from functional ranch clothing into a recognized fashion style. As demand for Western-inspired garments grew, workwear brands began developing products specifically for this emerging market.
Drawing from this heritage, Lawford has reinterpreted classic Western outerwear using traditional workwear construction methods. The result is a timeless Western jacket featuring a short length and relaxed boxy silhouette characteristic of the era. Snap-button closures and double-needle chain-stitch construction at key stress points provide both durability and authenticity.
Crafted from a traditional cotton satin fabric, woven with 10-count warp yarns and 9-count weft yarns, the jacket offers a unique balance of richness, softness, and lightweight comfort. Its design focuses on the essential details cowboys needed for riding, creating a clean and purposeful aesthetic.
