Schwanen have introduced these alternatives, made with substantial 6.8oz robust cotton jersey on original mid-century jersey circular knitting machines from the 1960s. The fabric is a convincing alternative to Merz's usual 7.2oz loopwheeled jersey in terms of both heft and hand, and these do feature side-seams and a slightly more organic body in contrast to the tubular shape of the originals, which helps prevent them from being too drapey at the hem.

Otherwise these henleys feature the same fit and details as Merz's 207 loopwheeled henleys, making them a direct alternative that fills the same role. They feature a classic fit with a slightly boxy body shape, a robust henley neck with mother of pearl buttons, ribbed cuffs, and triangular underarm gussets for mobility.
