Buy NowThe A-2 Flight Jacket was born in the early 1930s. The A2 flight jackets were created mainly out of horsehide or goatskin. Designed with heavy duty fasteners, cuffs and knit waists. Both of the A-1 and A-2 jackets have similar cuts, but unlike the A-1 jacket that had buttons, the A-2 were fitted with sturdy zippers instead.
The addition of the zippers and collar to the A-2 would have contributed to the sophistication and smartness it had over the A-1 jackets. It stayed in vogue until 1943 when fewer people began to use it. But even still, its significance cannot be forgotten by those who knew. - Style: A-2 US Flight Jacket- Fit: Regular fit- Color: Brown- Material: 100% nappa leather (goatskin)- Lining: 100% cotton- Pilot leather jacket made of soft goat nappa leather- 2 patch flap pockets- Epaulettes- Concealed 2-way front zip- Knitted cuffs on sleeves and hem- YKK 2-way zipOur model is 185cm, 75kg - wears size M
