MOMOTARO JEANS 0405SILK 16oz Silk Denim High Tapered Jeans

About this product

These extraordinary jeans are made with silk yarn, elevating them to a level of sophistication and comfort that transcends conventional denim.

The warp of these jeans features Zimbabwe cotton rope-dyed indigo yarn, meticulously woven on an old-style shuttle loom, adding a touch of tradition to their craftsmanship. The weft, however, is where these jeans truly stand out - silk yarn is intricately integrated, imparting a remarkably smooth texture that only silk can provide. The result is a denim fabric that is not only 16oz in weight but also exudes softness and luxury, making it a unique and unparalleled addition to your wardrobe. Notably, the silk used in the weft ensures a unique experience for the wearer. As silk is known for its higher moisture absorption and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, these jeans offer unparalleled comfort, especially in seasons where sweating is inevitable. The silk on the back of the fabric, touching your skin, provides an indulgent sensation reminiscent of silk sleepwear.

Momotaro's high tapered fit offers a more spacious thigh area that elegantly narrows toward the leg opening. This cut is favored by those who desire a contemporary, streamlined appearance without compromising comfort.

The jeans are adorned with exceptional details, including custom-engraved iron buttons, a custom-branded natural leather patch, and Momotaro's iconic pink selvedge and inseam, which pay homage to the peach fruit in the legendary Momotaro folktale.

Fit Notes: These jeans have a standard sizing. We recommend choosing your usual size. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. The fabric is sanforized, so there will be no shrinkage. Some people might even go for a smaller size than usual, but only those with very thin legs. The waist will experience the typical stretching seen in sanforized denim. Expect approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of stretching.
