MOMOTARO JEANS 0605SILK 16oz Silk Denim Natural Tapered Jeans

About this product

These extraordinary jeans are made with silk yarn, elevating them to a level of sophistication and comfort that transcends conventional denim.

The warp of these jeans features Zimbabwe cotton rope-dyed indigo yarn, meticulously woven on an old-style shuttle loom, adding a touch of tradition to their craftsmanship. The weft, however, is where these jeans truly stand out - silk yarn is intricately integrated, imparting a remarkably smooth texture that only silk can provide. The result is a denim fabric that is not only 16 oz in weight but also exudes softness and luxury, making it a unique and unparalleled addition to your wardrobe. Notably, the silk used in the weft ensures a unique experience for the wearer. As silk is known for its higher moisture absorption and quick-drying properties compared to cotton, these jeans offer unparalleled comfort, especially in seasons where sweating is inevitable. The silk on the back of the fabric, touching your skin, provides an indulgent sensation reminiscent of silk sleepwear.

Momotaro's natural tapered cut features a medium-high rise, comfortable waist, roomy thighs, and a distinct taper to a narrower leg opening, ensuring a versatile pairing with both boots and sneakers. These jeans boast exceptional details, including custom-engraved iron buttons, a branded indigo leather patch, and Momotaro's signature pink selvedge and inseam, paying tribute to the legendary Momotaro folktale.

Fit Notes: These jeans have a standard sizing. We recommend choosing your usual size. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. The fabric is sanforized, so there will be no shrinkage. Some people might even go for a smaller size than usual, but only those with very thin legs. The waist will experience the typical stretching seen in sanforized denim. Expect approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of stretching.
