Nitta Textile Arts Inc. Sakiori Keychain, Nitta Textile Arts Inc., Hand Woven, Yellow

About this product

Since 1884, Nitta Textile Arts Inc. has been creating beautiful, hand-made products to elevate everyday life. Products are created at the Nitta Factory in Japan, using 250-year-old Yonezawa-ori techniques and traditional methods of dyeing and weaving.

Sakiori, meaning 'to tear and weave' is a traditional Japanese method of textile recycling, done by cutting old textiles into strips and weaving them together to create new fabric. Sakiori weaving was originally used to create sturdy, long-lasting work clothes, but can now be appreciated for the art form it is. These keychains are the perfect way to add a pop of color to your daily life!
