The same cloth as the 271 chinos, cut into a coverall. The fabric is ONI's 8oz vintage-style selvedge chino twill, with both warp and weft yarn-dyed olive so the color lives inside the thread: it holds better, reads deeper, and fades slowly and evenly into patina rather than contrast. Smooth on the inside and slightly rugged on the outside, the surface grows more uneven with every month of wear – which on a work jacket is the point.
The pattern is the classic coverall: a straight, roomy body that closes with a button placket, long enough at 76 cm (29.9') on a 42 to cover the hips, with a shoulder cut wide enough to go over a shirt and a sweater. Pockets do the work – two chest pockets, one of them with an internal pocket for anything that needs to stay put, and two large patch pockets at the hips.
Construction is ONI's: custom copper doughnut buttons down the front, clean stitching along the placket and seams, and the brand's signature details where the maker would put them. 100% cotton. Made in Japan.
Fit Notes: This coverall fits true to size with a relaxed, roomy cut. Compared to most global American brands, a size 42 fits similarly to a standard Large.
