The Orslow 107 Ivy Fit in black one-wash is specifically designed for those who appreciate a more refined, '60s-inspired silhouette. Unlike the roomier 105, the 107 features a sophisticated slim-tapered leg and a medium rise, offering a clean line that bridges the gap between heritage workwear and modern tailoring. By utilizing a one-wash process, Orslow has effectively pre-shrunk the fabric and tempered the initial rigidity of the black sulfur-dyed denim, resulting in a soft, supple hand-feel that retains its deep, consistent tonality.
The beauty of this pair lies in its subtle technical details: the tonal stitching, oxidized hardware, and the specific 13.5oz weight that provides enough structure to hold its shape without feeling overbuilt. Because the denim is woven on low-tension vintage looms, it possesses a characteristic texture that will develop a unique, nuanced character over time, even in this darker palette. It’s a versatile, high-level foundational piece – perfect for anyone who values the durability of selvedge construction but prefers the understated aesthetic of a monochrome finish.
