The centrepiece of the Papa’s range, the Papa Nui Hell Cat Cap has been ten years in the making. Its origin is the first cap Papa Nui ever did with John Lofgren in Japan, the Corsair Cap. Over a decade has been spent refining the silhouette, with subtle changes made from a hundred small observations, and now we have the Hell Cat Cap.
The Hell Cat is deep and balanced through crown so as not to create a pinch at the top. The visor is 8cm or long, wide and square and takes its shape directly from period USN caps. A millinery version of its tough and rugged namesake the F6F, and is set to be the dominant cap covering the skies over the Atoll.
