Buy NowSedgwick English Bridle is the first leather that I started carrying and have stocked in many different colors over the years. It is a solid leather that is traditionally vegetable tanned in England and hot stuffed with waxes and tannins. The result is a leather with a shiny waxy surface, and a very firm temper. Over time the wax will wear off and the leather will soften.
This leather weighs in at a moderate, yet well-balanced 9-10oz, which I personally consider the sweet spot for belts. It's not too thick, so it won't feel cumbersome to wear, especially once it starts to break in.
Available in Black, Green, Burgundy, Navy and London Tan. Any of these colors are going to darken with use as they develop a patina that you would expect from a vegetable tanned leather. Pair with my Japanese made Patented Double Prong or the original 200+ year old Single Prong Quick Release Buckle in any finish. (Dark Havana is no longer available)
All quick release belts are made with teardrop holes, which besides the aesthetic difference, will allow the buckle to lie slightly more flat than a round hole, due to the oblong shape of the hole. Hardware will be secured with Pigeon Tree branded rivets for the brass option, while black nickel will be stitched with tonal thread, and nickel will be secured with nickel Chicago screws.
Please follow the detailed sizing instructions here. It is normal for the measurement to be several inches larger than your waist or tagged jean size. If you have any doubts, please reach out to me with any questions.
All belts unless otherwise stated are Made to Order. You can always find my MTO queue time in my website banner.
Handmade in Savannah by one person.
