Buy NowWelcome back to The Dyeing Table!
Every year I submerge myself in indigo, metaphorically and physically. With my indigo work now taking place only once a year, I find myself hyper-fixating on the craft and dyeing many, many pieces over a relatively short period of time. All of these pieces grace my dyeing table and leave their mark.
When preparing to dye, the first thing I do is line my table with plastic wrap and then top it with a sheet of brown kraft paper. Last year was the first year that it occurred to me to frame the beauty of art created from art.
These were taken straight off my dyeing table. Every mark, drip, and splatter has occurred organically through the dyeing process.
Unlike the numbered series of 3, these small pieces are NOT numbered. On the mat you will find my signature pigeon stamp in the bottom right corner, and on the back I have signed and dated each piece. These frames can be set on a shelf or hung on a wall. Framed in solid wood.
Every year I will release new pieces from my dyeing table, but there are no guarantees that the size, quantity, or framing style will be at all the same, the only thing that is certain is that they will always be extremely limited, and truly one of a kind.
These pieces are a piece of me! Indigo has been a huge part of Pigeon Tree since its first inception almost 10 years ago. Indigo is in my veins, and pumps through my heart. You own my indigo dyed leather pieces, now take a piece of my dyeing table home!
