Buy NowIndigo might just be the most universally flattering color on the planet. For more than a few years now, indigo-dyed clothing has been a favorite among everyone. If you're a fan of Japanese workwear, you know that this little plant helped launch the denim industry – a feat not to be underestimated. By now, the range of deep blue tones achieved with indigo has found its way into almost every corner of the modern man's closet.
This masterpiece is crafted from 100% Long-Staple Cotton, providing the garment with unique comfort. In addition, it is pure indigo rope dyed, so that it will develop a great and unique vintage look.
Pure Blue Japan's tops run small, being one size smaller than your regular American size. As always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
Pure Blue Japan is the dream of Kenichi Iwaya. Passionate about denim, he grew up in Okayama and acquired experience working in different mills around the region, until in 1997 he decided to create his own brand. Ever since, Iwaya-San has been obsessed with producing incredible fabrics with unique, slubby textures and a distinct character. This is why he only works with shuttle looms from Ibara, Okayama, using only the best cottons from the United States and India. Since its emergence until today, Pure Blue Japan has consolidated its position as one of the touchstone labels in Japanese Denim, and its excellent work has established it as one of the masters of indigo dye.
