The Pure Blue Japan MDNT-003 is built from an original 14oz selvedge denim developed around the interplay of deep indigo and black. The warp yarns are dyed using a blend of indigo and sulfur dyes before being woven with black weft yarns, creating the distinctive layered appearance that Pure Blue Japan calls 'Midnight Denim.'

The resulting color is a deep, subdued indigo with black nuances layered throughout, giving the fabric a darker and more complex appearance than traditional indigo denim. Like Pure Blue Japan’s signature XX-14oz denim, the fabric has a pleasantly textured, slightly rugged surface that adds depth and character from the beginning.

With continued wear, the different tones of the warp gradually emerge and the textured surface develops its own pattern of fading. The result is a highly individual pair of jeans whose color and character evolve naturally with the wearer.

The MDNT-003 features Pure Blue Japan’s Regular Straight fit, offering a relaxed straight-leg silhouette throughout.
