PURE BLUE JAPAN XX-002 14oz Pipe Straight Jeans

About this product

The Pure Blue Japan XX-002 is built around one of the most celebrated fabrics in Japanese denim. The XX Series has been Pure Blue Japan's signature since the early 2000s, earning the brand a cult following and becoming one of the most widely recognized styles in their catalog.

The fabric is a 14oz selvedge denim woven on vintage shuttle looms using Pure Blue Japan's proprietary slub yarns – threads with intentional irregular thickness that create a distinct, rough surface texture unlike anything produced by conventional spinning. The weavers themselves have absolute confidence in this fabric's quality, and it shows. As the denim is worn in, fading spots appear throughout, developing a unique, high-contrast character over time that rewards patience and daily wear.

The pipe straight (002) fit is one of the more relaxed silhouettes in Pure Blue Japan's collection. Cut with a high rise, a roomy top block, and a loose, wide leg, it evokes the feel and proportions of vintage jeans – balanced, comfortable, and effortlessly classic. This version comes pre-rinsed for a softer feel and more convenient sizing.

Details reflect Pure Blue Japan's commitment to premium craftsmanship. The jeans feature a custom branded nickel button fly, hidden copper rivets on the back pockets, raised belt loops, and chainstitched hems. The signature Pure Blue Japan indigofera leaf embroidery on the back pocket adds a subtle brand detail, while a deerskin natural leather patch and blue selvedge line with coin pocket selvedge complete the package.

As always, we strongly recommend checking our size chart to find your perfect size. The denim is unsanforized but has been one-washed, so no further shrinkage is expected. With regular wear, the waistband will…
