These double-faced socks have been a part of Rototo's collection since the brand's establishment. Inspired by mountaineering socks, they combine merino wool on the surface with undyed, low-count organic cotton fabric as the lining, creating a soft and thick feel reminiscent of a sweatshirt. Additionally, the liner material features a fluffy and comfortable napped surface.
The sock production in the northwestern part of Nara Prefecture is thus originated from the area’s centuries-long tradition of the weaving industry. And that is why Rototo places more value on manufacturing that requires a lot of discussion with factory craftsmen who preserve the tradition and history. Rototo’s socks can be made only with a combination of the right material, the right machine and craftsmanship. They aim to preserve the tradition inherited from their ancestors.
