SAMURAI JEANS S0520XX "Otokogi" 15oz Relaxed Tapered Jeans

About this product

These jeans are crafted with the utmost precision, using the finest 15oz Otokogi denim yarn, a signature creation of the brand. Made from 100% Texas cotton, this denim is woven with a slubby #6 cotton thread, retaining traces of cotton waste for a uniquely rugged appearance. The vintage looms are pushed to their limits in the creation of these jeans, resulting in a rough-hewn texture that denim enthusiasts adore, and promising those coveted high-contrast fades over time.

The attention to detail is unparalleled, with features like the distinguished sheep leather patch, which not only adds a touch of luxury but also reinforces durability. The jeans boast an exclusive flasher, adorned with iron sunrise buttons and copper coin-shaped rivets, adding to their authentic charm. The iconic Samurai woven label proudly graces these jeans, and the Shogyo mujo 'Impermanence' jacquard slake lining showcases the brand's intricate craftsmanship. From the interior luxury of the lining to the exterior elegance of the premium sheep leather patch and copper rivets, these jeans are a fusion of opulence and sturdiness that's unrivaled in the world of denim.

The cut is a relaxed tapered fit. The aggressive taper provides a slim-fitting silhouette while allowing ample space at the thighs, with a mid-high rise. As many other Samurai Jeans, the S0520XX runs slightly small in the one wash version. In general, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.

Samurai jeans have become a legend in the Japanese denim scene. Created in Osaka by Toru Nogami in 1997, Samurai represents the perfection of Japanese tradition, with its iconography of Sengoku-era Samurais and the search for the best and nothing but the best through materials, artisan garment-making techniques and unique detailing.
