Designed to capture the character of mid-century American jeans while showcasing Samurai’s relentless textile experimentation, this pair blends heritage authenticity with unmistakable Japanese craftsmanship.

At the heart of the jeans is Samurai’s new GL3 selvedge denim, woven slowly on the legendary Toyoda GL3 shuttle loom – one of the earliest Japanese power looms still capable of preserving the irregular, slubby nature of the yarns. The warp uses #6 Texas cotton yarns dyed a deep, vintage-style indigo reminiscent of 1950s denim, while the weft incorporates Samurai’s proprietary Samurai Cotton, adding nep, texture, and a raw, organic handfeel.
