SAMURAI JEANS S710SC-KI Japanese Cotton Ecru 18oz Slim Straight Jeans

About this product

The Samurai Jeans S710SC-KI Japanese Cotton Ecru 18oz Slim Straight Jeans offer a refreshing alternative to dark indigo denim as temperatures rise. Made from undyed ecru selvedge, this fabric showcases the pure, natural tone of Samurai’s proprietary Japanese organic cotton, resulting in one of the most beautiful and textural ecru denims we’ve ever encountered.

At the heart of these jeans is the remarkable Samurai Cotton Project – the lifelong passion of Nogami-san, founder of Samurai Jeans. This rare cotton is cultivated in Sasayama (Hyogo Prefecture) under uniquely demanding conditions: plants are grown without fertilizers or pesticides, weeded and harvested entirely by hand, and carefully protected from the region’s intense autumn typhoons. A small team of Samurai employees, dedicated customers, and local volunteers work together each season to produce this exceptional fiber. The process is slow, costly, and extremely labor-intensive – but the result is an extraordinarily soft, durable, high-quality organic cotton unlike anything else in Japanese denim.

The S710SC-KI is packed with premium details, including exclusive jacquard pocket bags, iron rising-sun buttons, and a sheep leather patch. The iconic S710 slim straight fit offers comfort in the top block with a clean, moderate taper and a mid-rise, creating a balanced silhouette that works beautifully year-round – especially during spring and summer evenings.

These jeans embody Samurai’s dedication to heritage craftsmanship, ethical production, and uncompromising quality in denim.

Fit Notes: As with other Samurai models, the S710SC-KI runs slightly small in the one-wash version. We generally recommend going one size up from your usual. Please consult the size chart to find your best fit. The denim is unsanforized but one-washed, so no further shrinkage will occur.
