The Seuvas Twill Work Flannel Shirt is a refined reinterpretation of an American classic work shirt, meticulously crafted in Japan from a proprietary woven twill flannel. The fabric is brushed on the inside for added warmth and softness against the skin, while the mocha tone brings a rich, vintage-inspired character that pairs effortlessly with denim and workwear.
Construction reflects Seuvas' commitment to traditional sewing methods. The shirt features classic chain stitching run-offs flowing from the reinforcement swallows – a subtle but meaningful detail that speaks to the brand's roots in heritage workwear craftsmanship. Double-needle construction reinforces the seams throughout, while tonal stitching adds a quiet modern refinement.
Functional details have been carefully considered. Two chest pockets offer practical everyday storage, with one featuring an inner pen slot for additional utility. Gusseted side seams improve durability and freedom of movement at the wear points.
The standout detail is the Amakusa pottery stone button at the collar – hand-painted in Amakusa, Kyushu. These ceramic buttons are traditionally associated with fine Japanese pottery, and their use here adds a subtle yet striking artisanal accent that elevates the shirt beyond standard workwear.
The fit is regular and slightly loose, designed for comfort and ease of layering.
Fit Notes: This shirt fits true to size. Compared to most global American brands, a size L fits similarly to a standard American Large. We recommend taking your usual size for a comfortable fit. As a reference, we strongly recommend checking our size chart and comparing it with your best-fitting shirt to ensure the right fit.
