The Spinnaker Hass Automatic x 4ocean Limited Edition puts its material where its mission is. Each of the four variants features a dial made from recovered ocean plastic – waste pulled from the water, processed, and pressed into a textured surface that becomes the face of the watch.
No two dials are identical in texture or finish, making each piece genuinely one-of-a-kind. The collection is divided across four threatened marine wildlife – Manatee, Sharks, Sea Turtles, and Coral Reef – each with its own colorway, its own graphic at 6 o'clock, and its own case for why the ocean is worth protecting.
Different symbols, same commitment. The platform is the Hass Automatic – a 43mm stainless steel diver with 17mm thickness, 50mm lug-to-lug, screw-down crown, and 300-meter water resistance. The unidirectional dive bezel on each variant is color-matched to its dial and carries 'DEFEND THE DEEP' around the edge.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal sits up front, applied indices with Swiss Newlite lume ensure legibility in low light and underwater. The stainless steel bracelet runs at 22mm while the exhibition caseback reveals a custom co-branded Spinnaker x 4ocean rotor decorated against a wave-pattern background – a finishing detail worth looking at.
Inside runs the Miyota 8215 – a 21-jewel Japanese automatic caliber operating at 21,600 bph with a 42-hour power reserve and date display at 3 o'clock. It winds automatically, and handles daily diver (desk or sea) use without complaint. Every purchase funds the removal of up to 25 pounds of plastic and debris from oceans, rivers, and coastlines through 4ocean's active cleanup operations – an organization that has operated since 2017 with a focus on daily cleanups and living-wage employment in coastal communities most affected by pollution.
Limited to 375 pieces per variant – 1,500 total across the collection – and not returning for a second run.
